Wow! Not sure how mother nature got so confused but temperatures of 97 degrees and humidity are for summer days not the ones that lead us into fall and apple season :)  But we are still producing and working hard in the fields.  We are currently harvesting:

The last of all varieties of peaches - so if you still want some please get them by this coming Monday (Sept 16th) as they will be coming to an end.

Elstar Apples :  (offspring of Golden Delicious) - tart
Gala Apples: sweet

Still harvesting - Sweet Corn (pick some up today to freeze to get you through the winter - tastes as fresh as the day it was picked!)  and Tomatoes (time to can some homemade pasta sauce YUM!)
Stop out and see us!

Hello everyone.  Busy times here at the farm but enjoying it so much.  Wanted to give everyone a heads up that peach season will soon come to an end for this year.  We are anticipating to have peaches available through next weekend so if you are feeling the need to finish your canning, cobbler making or just plain snacking come out to the market and get yours today! OPEN 7 days a week 9-7 :)
Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Labor Day!  Here at Heritage Orchards we spent the day picking fresh peaches and apples.  We are currently picking Loring Peaches! YUM!
Loring -
A freestone peach; meaning the flesh comes off the pit easily. A large easy to pick peach, with a sweet flavor. This peach is great for eating, freezing, and canning.
Crest Haven-
Golden yellow with a bright red blush. Freestone flesh is firm and juicy, bright yellow with red around the pit. Resists browning. Good for canning or freezing
Ginger Gold-
This sweet-spicy apple has a succulent texture and rich taste with a mildly tart flavor. A cross between the Golden Delicious and Albermarle Pippin, this early-season variety is best served fresh.
